Day 3

Hi all from Kigali!!!!
We have spent some time with Pastor Raha from Congo. We have to share with you something he told us;

He says he met with the pastors from Bukavu in preparatation for our visit. They decided among themselves that if the Canadians would come for "just one hour" to set foot on their soil, they would consider themselves blessed for a very long time. However if we would actually come for days, in spite of the unrest that has been dominating the news, they would consider it the gift of one thousand years" !!
We are all very tired.
It was very cool in London, and 29 c here.
We spent $142,000. for supper, their currency ( Lee says we are now on the streets begging )
We were met at the airport and it took 1 van and 2 cabs to get into our hotel.
The earth here is red.
We are leaving at 6:00 am (so we still need prayer)
The sunrise looks different here (perhaps because I am so unfamiliar with sunrises)

We will keep posting. The deal here is that I, Doreen, will do the blogging if they will leave me out of the photographs!

Pastor Raha assured us again that safety is not an issue and he is coming on the bus which we rented for our trip into Bukavo.

What a powerful statement from Pastor Raha about your presence in their country. God bless every step you take, every hand you shake, every friend you make and every prayer you say.
